Samson Parker became the official spokesdog of Parker General Insurance in 2010. He has extensive training in paperwork supervision, office security and staff morale building. He is always available for a happy dance, a quick walk or a smooch!
Joe Parker has been in the insurance business for over 40 years. He is a breeder of thoroughbred horses. He maintains mares in Kentucky and enjoys breeding, raising and selling weanlings and yearlings. Occasionally he will keep one or two to race.
Joe started out in the insurance business after graduating from Fresno University with a BS in Business Administration. A short while later, he began working in insurance industry, and established Joe Parker Insurance that eventually would became Parker General Insurance, Inc. In 1993 he purchased a small agency that sold horse related insurance as it fit with his interest in horses. That agency has since grown into Equine Insurance, a division of Parker General Insurance, in Arcadia, CA.
His interests vary from participating in community organizations, to serving on the board of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association and California Thoroughbred Sales as President (past). Joe enjoys riding, horse racing, farming and spending time with his family. He takes great pride in meeting the needs of his clients on a daily basis.
Kathy Champ started in 1995 handling the Personal Lines Insurance Division of Parker General. In 2010, she became the Parker General Office Manager and assists Joe Parker with quoting, processing and renewing the Commercial Lines of business. She kept busy raising 5 children and supporting them in their many extra-curricular activities. Kathy is an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Squaw Valley, CA and of Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Kathy and her family spend any extra time they can find camping, touring wineries or just cooking a family meal together.
Lisa Gupton began working part-time for Parker General in 2009 while she was still in high school. After attending college she began working full time at the agency In October 2013 assisting both the personal lines and commercial lines department. Also, as a licensed cosmetologist she keeps the staff looking their best. Lisa enjoys spending time with her amazing mom, her awesome cat Norman, watching movies, shopping and going camping. When you stop by the office her wit, smile and sense of humor is contagious.
Donna Parker has managed Equine Insurance since its purchase by Parker General in 1993. She attended Cal Poly, Pomona as a pre-vet student and worked at a large equine clinic in Chino, CA for 15+ years. Donna is currently very active in the marketing and promotion of Equine Insurance, attending numerous equestrian events across the country. She is a competitive Hunter Jumper rider, and enjoys painting and drawing. Donna is also involved with horseshow associations and committees, and enjoys giving back to the equestrian community.
